The waiting game...

Today we got to meet with the Pediatric Surgeon to determine our plan. Unfortunately it’s not as soon as we had hoped, but we should have a date by the end of this week. It may still be a couple weeks out. He may have one more procedure he will have to endure while being awake, which we aren’t looking forward to, but he will be better soon! We are HOPEFUL!

For those asking, they will be doing a Heller Myotomy with partial fundoplication which is wrapping part of the fundus of the stomach around the base of the esophagus to hopefully help with the side effects of reflux after surgery. Until then, he will continue a liquid diet, we will be taking turns sleeping with him as he chokes all night long and wanting to keep him safe and ensuring he doesn't aspirate. We will get through this time and just want to keep him HAPPY!!! We love that boy! He’s been in such great spirits thus far!!! BLESSED!
